Today is the start of my training for the 2012 Race Across AMerica (RAAM). Today I start my training program under the remote training under Dr. Matt Corcoran of The Diabetes Training Camp. From today until I finish the RAAM in 2012 I will blog the days happenings and my meals, my exercise and my blood sugar readings. This week Dr. Corcoran wanted me to check my blood sugar before breakfast and two hours after breakfast. He also wanted me to check my blood sugar 30 minutes before I ride and then 10 minutes before I ride and then test halfway through the ride and then 10 minutes after I ride. Todays meeting

Today I had a meeting Cassandra Christian of the ADA. The meeting was about becoming a Red Rider ambassador. We shared ideas about things to do with the Red Rider program, how to get people involved, how to get people involved with diabetes and how to get them involved in cycling. We also talked about things we can do to make this years Tour de Cure the most memorable one. Lots of good ideas I am looking forward to this year.
